From an article I recently read, came the following information:

Michael Higgins: Finally, the Liberals start tackling the scourge of fentanyl, the National Post, 4 February, 2025:

In response to Trump’s threats, the Trudeau Liberals announced the creation of a “fentanyl czar” who will work with police agencies, provinces and municipalities to co-ordinate a national response to the production and distribution of fentanyl”.

What was as interesting as the article was a comment left below it. I leave it intact:

Eric Jordan

Sam Cooper has brought attention to a complex web of alleged corruption involving figures and entities you mentioned, particularly through his investigative journalism and book “Wilful Blindness: How a Network of Narcos, Tycoons and CCP Agents Infiltrated the West.” Here’s a breakdown based on available information:

Trudeau, Mark Carney Jean Chrétien:

Cooper has linked former Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chrétien to various allegations of corruption or influence by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Chrétien’s post-political career has included connections with Power Corporation, a company with significant influence in Canadian politics and business.

Power Corporation and the Desmarais Family:

The Desmarais family, through Power Corporation, has been a significant player in Canadian business and politics for decades. Sam Cooper suggests that this influence extends into how Canada engages with China, with implications for corruption or undue influence. Posts on X highlight the family’s investments in China and their political clout, suggesting a reticence by the Canadian government to act decisively against Chinese influence due to these connections.

Chinese Communist Party Operators:

Cooper’s work delves into how the CCP has allegedly used criminal networks, business tycoons, and political influence to further its interests in Canada and beyond. This includes money laundering, real estate investments, and political interference. His reporting has touched on how these operations might have influenced Canadian policy or law enforcement’s approach to Chinese activities in Canada.

Without Sam Cooper’s reporting, the politicians in Canada would have covered this up”.

Our politicians covering things up! Who would have thought? So now we in Canada have our fentanyl Czar in place and whoa is me, another Trudeau supported and ex-RCMP type. Instead of relying on the RCMP to be all things for all needs in this country backed by some very wimpy criminal laws, it seems that there is a real need here for a Homeland Security type agency along with some real criminal legislation to enforce it’s operation.

It would seem that it took Donald Trump to expose what has been an ongoing and hidden problem for some time here in Canada; totally self-serving and perhaps corrupt policies which totally ignore the issues for which an elected government has a responsibility to deal with.

Sounds to me like a real dim sum of crime! Will that be take out or eat-in?
